Project Worker – Blossom – full time (37.5 hrs pw), £19,316

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Project Worker, to support the delivery of the outreach, in-reach and recovery program, meet and build relationships with vulnerable young women and hold a caseload of those young women offering practical and emotional support to encourage and motivate change.

The Blossom project is an outreach and engagement service targeted to support young women aged 16-24 years, living in Stockton on Tees, who experience multiple disadvantages and are at significant risk of poor outcomes.  The service works to build emotional resilience and to encourage positive life choices, with the aim of preventing young women being vulnerable to exploitation and abuse and progressing into survival sex work.

The project, delivered within a multi-agency framework, will include outreach, hostel/college in-reach and low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support, intending to enhance the lifestyles of young women, whilst raising their long-term aspirations.

It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for these posts are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, or the Equality Act 2010.  Enhanced DBS checks will be required.

Sexual Exploitation Case Worker: (full time) £22,600 pa

“A Way Out are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced person to fill the role of Sexual Exploitation Caseworker to work as part of the STAGE Project team providing trauma-informed support for vulnerable women who have been groomed by groups of men for sexual exploitation in locations across the North East and Yorkshire. STAGE will undertake research into survivor experiences and impact of support, producing a toolkit to enable this approach to be replicated nationally.  The beneficiaries of the STAGE Project are women over the age of 16, who have been groomed for sexual exploitation. Many of these will be involved with supporting investigations and giving evidence at trials.

The STAGE Project is a partnership of organisations from the women’s sector led by Changing Lives.  The partner organisations comprise of A Way Out, Together Women, Grow, Women Centre and  Basis Yorkshire, and they will work across the North East and Yorkshire in areas where there are emerging, live and recent sexual exploitation investigations.” “
