Toks Sangowawa (Chair Person)
Toks joined the Board in August 2009 and is currently Clinical Director of Public Health, NHS Tees and prescribing consultant for specialist young people’s substance misuse services 2001 to date.
Qualifications – MBBS, MSc, FWACP, MFPHMI, FFPH
Rita White (Treasurer)
Rita was appointed as a Trustee in January 2009 after a career of over 30 years as Practice Manager in a local GP Practice. Managing one of the first fund-holding Practices, Rita worked closely with local hospitals negotiating many changes in services and the delivery of care for the Practice’s patients. After gaining and MBA in 2000 she was appointed as a member of North Tees Primary Care Trust Executive Committee working with the team on Public Health and the commissioning and development of services in Primary Care.
John has 23 years’ experience in retail advertising and marketing, responsible for £2 million budget, 9 years marketing and communications within global broadcasting organisations.
Sola Adeboye is married with 3 children and lives in Stockton on Tees. She is a children’s dentist and work within the Community Dental Services, County Durham and Darlington and the Newcastle Dental Hospital providing care for children who require specialist care until age 16.
Qualifications: BDS, MDSci (Paed. Dent), MFDS, FRCS (Paed. Dent)
Lesley Blundell became a trustee in March 2016 and has over 30 years experience in general management and human resources. She was Head of Human Resources for Darlington Borough Council until 2012, has a Masters Degree in Employment Law and was a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
David has been a Christian since the 1970’s and worship at All Saints Church, Preston on Tees. He is married to Linda and has three grown up sons. David has been an Accident and Emergency Consultant at North Tees Hospital since 1993 and Medical Director from 2010-2016.
Chris has worked for almost 40 years in a variety of different social care areas both within the voluntary and statutory sector.
He is a qualified Youth and Community Worker and Social Worker and has experiences of children and families work including safeguarding.
His guiding principle is to enable and encourage people to meet their potential.
