We are currently recruiting for 2 posts – Liberty Team Leader (part time, job share) and Blossom Project Worker (full time maternity cover) please see below for further details:

Young Women’s Project Worker, Full time (37.5 hrs pw), £19,045 (Maternity cover for up to a period of 12 months).

The Blossom project is an outreach and engagement service targeted to support young women aged 16-24 years, living in Stockton on Tees, who experience multiple disadvantages and are at significant risk of poor outcomes. The service works to build emotional resilience and to encourage positive life choices, with the aim of preventing young women being vulnerable to exploitation and abuse and progressing into survival sex work.

The project, delivered within a multi-agency framework, will include outreach, hostel/college in-reach and low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support, intending to enhance the lifestyles of young women, whilst raising their long-term aspirations.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Project Worker, to support the delivery of the outreach, in-reach and recovery program, meet and build relationships with vulnerable young women and hold a caseload of those young women offering practical and emotional support to encourage and motivate change.

It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for these posts are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, or the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS checks will be required.

The post is to cover maternity leave for up to a period of 12 months.

Women’s Project Team Leader (Job Share) 22.5 hours/week, £24,345 pro rata

A Way Out’s women’s project, Liberty, consists of an outreach and a recovery program, aiming to engage women aged18+, with various needs.  The projects prime focus is on tackling and addressing sexual exploitation/prostitution and the wide range of associated issues i.e. substance misuse, homelessness etc. It aims to provide clear pathways and improve access to key services such as sexual health for women involved in sex work both on and off street.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to the role of Women’s Project Team Leader to job share the coordination of the Women’s Project (Liberty) and lead the Women’s Project team.  This Team Leader role (TL2) will also be involved in the development of the service across the Tees Valley area.

The project includes evening and late night outreach, low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support, intending to enhance the lifestyles of women, whilst widening their long-term aspirations.
