Barclaycard Brush up their DIY Skills

Wednesday, October 2, 2013 saw a team of eight Barclaycard staff giving two days of their time to transform not just one, but two areas of the A Way Out building.

Gardeners Paul Hart, Nigel Merryweather and Danielle Thompson donned their gardening gear and grabbed their tools and cleared the side garden outside The Cave Café from a weed wasteland to a beautiful garden, which the patrons of The Cave will enjoy over the coming months.

Ann from the Cafe says "I'm amazed at all the hard work and dedication they have put in to transform the area and I'm looking forward to being able to move a table outside for customers to enjoy the fruits of their labour."

Emma Hedley, Phil Rofe, Ian Revell, Sue Scott and Julie Collins grabbed their paintbrushes and transformed the stark white sterile counselling room to an amazing, tranquil and relaxing haven which will enable our Counsellors to give Love, Hope and Freedom to many women in the years to come.

Jessie says "This is a lovely room for people to relax and open up in, helping the Counsellors give support to the women.  The team have done a wonderful job."

1-1room Thanks so much to these wonderful volunteers for giving all their hard work and giving their time to support us here at A Way Out.
