A WAY OUT's Values & Beliefs

A WAY OUT derives its inspiration and values from the Christian faith.
Our values underpin all that we do.
Equality and Diversity
A WAY OUT is committed to providing equality of opportunity for the women, children and young people with whom we work. We value and respect their diversity.
A WAY OUT also welcomes difference in its staff and volunteers. In accordance with its Basis and Values, A WAY OUT is working to create equal access to opportunities for paid employment and voluntary involvement while continuing to base selection and promotion solely on ability to meet the requirements of the post. This is irrespective of race, colour, ethnic or national origins, religion, disability, gender, sexuality, age, marital status, responsibility for dependents, economic status or political values.

Excellence
A WAY OUT has a vision for excellence. So from our governance and organisational procedures, to our service delivery, we strive for excellence and have developed effective quality assurance systems to continually improve what we do and how we do it.
Faith
We do not promote religion but we do believe that faith and belief are important components in our life changing work, and we encorproate some level of faith based values and guidance in an inclusive and sensitive way.
Innovation
We are not afraid to try new things. Seen as a pioneer of outreach and preventative services, we are constantly pushing boundaries and developing new projects and methods of working. Some of our projects, ideas and methods of working have even been adopted or mirrored in both central and local government policy and practice.
Love
Inspired by love and compassion, we try and demonstrate this love through our many carefully designed programmes and activities. Our workers will often go the extra mile. We also demonstrate love practically through our stringent policies and procedures. Our service users come first and we are committed to their rights, personal development, safety and care.
