Who We Are

A WAY OUT stands for At Risk Women And Youth Outreach.  

We are an outreach and prevention charity, specialised in engaging vulnerable and hard to reach women and young people, using creative and innovative approaches to educate, support and empower them to live safe, healthy and whole lives.

Our service users include women and young people with substance misuse problems, trapped in prostitution, homeless or living on the streets, involved in offending or victims of abuse.

We are based in Stockton-on-Tees at a support centre called The Gate. This centre provides the base for many of our projects, offering a safe and secure place for women and young people to come and receive support and get involved in a whole range of activities.
