24th March 2010 - A WAY OUT has received a boost after a businesswoman "donated" herself to the cause for eight weeks.- Evening Gazette - Christine York joins A Way Out to help it launch a new project creating a network of influential women. It is envisaged that passionate, dynamic and influential women will join together to have a significant impact in the lives of vulnerbale women across Teesside.
9th July 2009 - Winners of the £6 million Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneur Awards - Sunday Times - We fought off tough competition from around 1800 charities across the country to win "Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2009" The final was at a prestigious event at Spitalfields Church in London. The award brings with it £100 000 towards business development and a years business mentoring from Kavita Oberoi, founder and Director of Oberoi consulting and star of recent "Secret Millionaire' Read More here

June 22nd 2009 - Through to final 3 of £6 million social entrepreneur awards - Sunday Times - A WAY OUT and our Service Director and founder Jessie Joe Jacobs has reached the final three of the Bank of Scotland's £6 million Social Entrepreneur Awards - article in the Sunday Times - READ HERE FOR MORE OF THE STORY
June 10th 2009 - Grand Opening of A WAY OUTs new centre - Evening gazette - Evening Gazette - A WAY OUT open their bespoke new centre on Stockton's riverside this week, with an exceptionally well attended launch. There was strong support from Stockton Borough Council's Chief Executive Neil Schneider and the Mayor Paul Kirton. Diane Youdale from The BBC also came and offered words of encouragement at the opening of the centre. Click Here for link to story
