Sarah Project

SARAH has one main aim: To break the chains of slavery amongst women in the UK through support, advice, recovery and Healing.
But what do we mean when we say "Slavery"?
A dictionary definition of slavery is this "a person entirely under the domination of some influence or person":
In the UK, women are finding themselves trapped in situations and lifestlyes that they are unable to escape from. "Entirely under domination"
For the SARAH project, we recognise this to be the following
- Sexual Exploitation & Prostitution (inlcuding those who have been trafficked)
- Alcohol & Drug addiction
- Eating disorders
- Self harm
Our project aims to bring freedom to young women trapped in these situations through support, advice, recovery and healing.
Our work involves:
- Street and community based outreach
- Road shows offering infomration & awareness
- Prevention and Support
- Structured recovery & healing programmes
- Supported referals and signposting
Sarah is based on Christian values and offers a holistic view of support; taking into account a woman’s physical, emotional, relational and spiritual development.
We believe relationships are the key to our work and Sarah offers a safe, supportive and loving environment for young women to face life issues and overcome them.
