Cleaner, £6.00 per hour (8 hours per week, flexi hours, min 4 days preferred)
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail to keep our new centre fresh and welcoming. You may come into regular contact with our clients therefore discretion is essential and you will be subject to an enhanced CRB check, as with all our posts.#
Womens Project Development Worker (28 hours per week, £17,161 - 19,126 per annum) pro rata
Women who are vulnerable or have complex needs such as sexual exploitation are often difficult to engage, within support services. This job involves coordinating and implementing a specialist outreach service to women who are at risk and vulnerable from sexual exploitation and sexual violence. The position will take the lead on developing and implementing outreach activities aimed at engaging and building relationships with vulnerable women. There will also be a development element to the post, raising awareness of the project and the needs of these vulnerable women and building external support and funds.
Womens Support Worker (Prostitution Project) 10 - 12 hours per week / Scale 3 (£15,725 - 16,830 pro rata)
Women involved in prostitution have complex needs and dealing with them is no easy matter. This job involves providing a specialist service to women involved in prostitution. The position will take the lead on providing crisis, formal and informal support to these extremely vulnerable women and also support the delivery of an outreach and street safety project. Main duties will be:
- To deliver within group and key work settings appropriate counselling, support and interventions to clients involved in prostitution
- To support an outreach and street safety scheme, engaging women involved in prostitution
- To support clients with a range of services who require coping skills, advocacy and targeted and practical support to help them towards exiting prostitution
To improve access to appropriate specialised services
Young Women's Support Worker (Alcohol Project) 10 - 12 hours per week / Scale 3 (£15,725 - 16,830 pro rata)
Young People who misuse drugs and alcohol have complex needs and dealing with them is no easy matter. This job involves providing specialist support to young women with substance misuse problems. The position will involve the delivery of case management and care planned support for clients experiencing problematic and dependant alcohol use: Main duties will be:
- To deliver within group and key work settings appropriate counselling, support and interventions to clients with substance misuse needs
- To assess clients in relation to their needs and devise appropriate care plans
- To support clients with a range of services who require coping skills, advocacy and structure to maintain stabilisation
- To improve access to appropriate specialised services
PR & Marketing Placement (6 - 25 hours per week, 6 month min)
An excellent opportunity has arrisen to work within A WAY OUT's new business development team. You will be responsible for developing and assiting in the charities many PR & marketing activiites. The role will be varied with opportunities within event planning and management, public relations such as writing press releases and also developing marketing materials. Applications will be based upon training, previous experience and / or a portfolio of previous work.
Online PR & Marketing Placement (6 - 8 hours per week)
An excellent opportunity has arrisen to work within A WAY OUT's new business development team. You will be responsible for managing our web presence, using social networking sites such as twitter and facebook and also managing our website content, to ensure A WAY OUT is high profile and its work is promoted through the on-line community.
Volunteer Youth Worker: Ref: VolYW
between 3 & 30 hours p/w
You will be required to engage with children and young people, generally between the ages of 10 - 18, supporting them, encouraging them and being a positive role model within their lives. The project has a strong health focus and there will be a focus on the promotion of good health including, sports & recreational activities, healthy eating, drug awareness and sex and relationship education.
Volunteer Counsellor Ref: VolCouns
At least 3 hours per week
You will be working with young men and women who are experiencing various problems such as social exclusion, low level mental health, drug misuse and alcoholism.
Responsible to the Interventions coordinator, duties will be mainly providing one to one counselling interventions.
