Natalie’s Story:
"I first started using heroin when I was 16. My parents got divorced and I started seeing a lad who used crack and heroin. I started taking it to get me to sleep then my boyfriend went to prison and I was addicted to heroin and had to go into prostitution to fund my habit. I worked the streets for 6 years and hated it but I needed the money for my drugs so I had to do it. Drugs destroyed my life, my mum kicked me out and I moved from place to place. A WAY OUT helped me loads with courses support and having someone to talk to when I was really down. Now I am 24 and this year I spent Christmas with my family. I’m starting a basic counselling course in January and doing another course towards employment. I have recently set up home with a non drug using boyfriend and things are slowly turning around. I look and feel a lot better in myself and I am looking forward to the future."
